Our Missions

As our budget has grown, so have our missions. We believe there are many ways in which we can support our troops. Our main mission of supporting boots on the ground has never changed and continues to be our main focus, however, we appreciate the opportunity to be able to expand our support to other areas of need. We also understand that we could not do these things without the unwavering support of our community and for that, we thank you!

In addition to these and many other programs and patriotic ceremonies, Blue Star Mothers of Spanish Springs NV5 support each other as only another Military Mom or Dad can truly understand. Some of our sons & daughters have just entered the military and are at the beginning of their career, some are currently serving and may be deployed or stationed throughout the world, and some have honorably served our country and are now proud veterans.
Each of us has experienced the emotional roller coaster of sending our child for the unknown of basic training, having great pride at their military graduation, as well as worrying when they are so far away from home or deployed.

It is through our relationships as military families and the participation in our programs that we find comfort while also caring for those who currently serve and have served our country.

Please consider supporting us as we support our troops, veterans and each other. It is only through the generosity of our donors like you that we can continue to carry out our mission.

The Blue Star Mother's do not endorse any particular candidate nor any party platform at any level of government. We have not and do not allow any candidate to use our name or our members to promote their election. We do support bi-partisan legislation that improves the welfare of our active duty troops, veterans, and their families.

The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization. We encourage all of you to exercise your right to vote and remember to thank those who have secured this liberty for you in the past and today.

A military mother is a mother whose child or children are serving in the military. Military mothers can experience a range of emotions, including: Pride in their child's service, Worry and anxiety about their child's safety and well-being, Longing for their child, Sacrifice, and Heartache.

Military mothers can also face unique challenges, such as: Missing holidays and family celebrations, Rarely seeing their children, and Having to be strong for their children.
